Finally looking down the barrel of my first race - the Mother's Day Classic 8km Run this weekend. Very excited to get a practice run in before the half marathon.

Ran 10km today to ensure my knee will stand the test next weekend, still sore however I made it through. Great to have Luke Ritchie on the team now, and have found some other friends also joining in the Half Marathon.

It will be a very big adventure!!

The Age Run Melbourne 2012 for Leukaemia Foundation Victoria & Tasmania

The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.

The money raised will help fund cutting-edge research into the causes, treatments and cures of blood cancer. It will also help thousands of patients and families each year by funding patient support services such as 'Home-away-from-home' accommodation, transport to and from treatment, information, education and practical support.

The Foundation receives no on-going government funding and relies solely on the generosity of businesses and individuals who donate to the cause.
