Okay, so we've been a bit slack on these blogs...

In the loooong time since our last post, plenty has been happening. We've signed up a huge 20 Mobsters already and loads more are getting themselves sorted to join us!

The Age Run Melbourne 2012 for Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation

The OCRF has developed to become one of Australia’s pre-eminent bodies supporting ovarian cancer research and is focused upon the understanding of the causes of ovarian cancer, its early detection and improving patient survival.

Currently, one Australian woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer.

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death for all gynaecological cancers. The key to changing the future and giving women with ovarian cancer a better long term outlook is early detection. However, no simple or effective early screening method currently exists. This means most women diagnosed are already in the advanced stages of the disease.

The OCRF is committed to prospering research into this currently not-well-understood disease.

To help achieve our research goals and to save women's lives, the OCRF needs the financial support of the community. We can change these statistics, with your help.
